Reference Papers ...
Over the years I have produced some papers detailing the thinking and maths behind the calculation of APR and Rebates on Early Settlement. The three referred to in writing the DualCalc program ar available by clicking on the menu entries on the right.
Please note that no specific paper on the calculations in the new Early Settlement Regulations has been produced, the 'Actuarial Method' described in rebates paper is a purely mathematical approach which, in theory gives the same result but, because of the legal requirements of the Regulations, may not.
